It's Hard To Hold The Hand Of A Chain-Smoking Man No ones gonna wait around to watch you fall Nothing's gonna bring us down, the night is gonna save me When I'm looking at you, that's all I wanna do When you look at me I can barely breathe I've been waiting for a long long time Now I've got you by my side Nothing's gonna change my mind, nothing's gonna break me I'm gonna be so good, better than anybody else could When I hold you this feels so real When you talk to me I don't need anything  There's nothing weighing on my mind Now that I've got you by my side

There is no rest in sight tonight. No degree of darkness to ease such tired eyes. It's always been like this at it's best. It's all uneven. It's all a blur. A rash. A fever. A subtle shadow cast, that hangs like the nights that never last, like hands that hold too fast. I could tell you about the beaten wings, the lonely hearts, the broken things, the sickness and the suffering, the madness, and the laboring breath. I thought about it and wept. Oh, that black dress. The way it moves slow against your skin. The lake at night, the moonlight reflected in it. You danced, but I never came home. You looked like a flame, you looked like fire.
